Julien Ramirez, MFT-LP

Welcome—I work with couples, individuals, and families from a systemic, strengths-based perspective, with particular care for relationships affected by substance use. I understand emotional and relational challenges as shaped by family dynamics, interactional patterns, and broader life contexts, rather than through a deficit-based or pathologizing lens.

I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative and grounded in respect for each client’s unique experience. Whether I am working with couples, individuals, or families, I help clients explore relational patterns, increase emotional awareness, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress, conflict, and life transitions.

In my work with couples, I support partners in improving communication, rebuilding trust, and addressing cycles of disconnection—particularly when substance use has contributed to strain or uncertainty in the relationship. When working with individuals and families, I focus on increasing insight into relational roles, strengthening boundaries, and fostering resilience within the family system.

I strive to create a supportive and affirming therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
